Sultan ul Faqr is a chosen one who carries the true Mohammadan heritage of Faqr (Sufism) after the physical life of Holy Prophet. The 7 Sultan ul Fuqra or the souls of Sultan ul Faqr absorb the Divine light with such intensity and perfection that they attain Divine Oneness (Tawhid). Even the physical bodies of these pure souls in which they appear in the world are absolute light. They are also known as the 7 sultans.
Life of Sultan ul Faqr 1st – Fatimah tuz-Zahra
Sultan ul Faqr first Fatimah bint Mohammad was the beloved daughter of Prophet Mohammad sall’Allahu alayhi wa’alihi wasallam. She held the status of first Sultan ul Faqr because her sacred soul manifested directly from Mohammadan light. That is why Faqr i.e. union with Allah, vision of Allah and presence in the Mohammadan assembly are granted through her mediation. Life of Sultan ul Faqr 2nd – Shaikh Hasan of Basra
Shaikh Hasan of Basra was the first person after People of the Cloak (Ahl al-Bayt) who was bestowed with the extreme status of Faqr. He got cloak (khirqah) of spiritual succession (khilafat) from Ali ibn Abi Talib. Thereafter, Ali ibn Abi Talib also passed on the Trust of Faqr to him. Life of Sultan ul Faqr 3rd – Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani
The status of third Sultan ul Faqr is adorned by the beloved soul of the chief of all the Qutbs, Abdals and Saints Al-Ghawth al-Azam Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani . His grandeur and splendour in the world of Sufism and Faqr does not require any introduction as his dignity and honour is brighter than sun, and his attributes and virtues are countless. The last forty years of life of Sultan ul Faqr 3rd were devoted in guiding people towards the path of Allah. Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jillani was born on Friday, 1st of Ramadan in 470 Hijri (1078 A.D). Life of Sultan ul Faqr 4th – Shaikh Sayyid Abdul Razzaq Jilani
Shaikh Sayyid Abdul Razzaq Jilani is the son of Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jillani. Faqr was in his blood as well as in soul. Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jillani transferred all his spiritual knowledge and powers to his son, so he was the mirror image of his father. Shaikh Sayyid Abdul Razzaq was born in 528H (1133 A.D) in Baghdad. Sultan ul Arifeen Sultan Bahoo
Sultan ul Arifeen Sultan Bahoo was born on Thursday, 1st Jumada ath-thani 1039 H (17th January 1630 AD) during dawn (Fajr) salat, in the reign of mughal emperor Shah Jahan in Shorkot, District Jhung, Pakistan (then India). The whole life of Sultan ul Faqr 5th was spent in Divine persuasion and inviting people towards Allah. Sultan ul Arifeen Sultan Bahoo belonged to the Awan tribe whose genealogy traces back to Ali ibn Abi Talib. Awans are the progeny of Ali ibn Abi Talib from wives other than Fatimah bint Mohammad. Sultan Mohammad Asghar Ali
Sultan Mohammad Asghar Ali was born on Friday, August 14, 1947 (Ramadan 27, 1366 Hijri) at dawn, in the town of Samundari, Garh Maharaja, District Jhang, Pakistan. His father Sultan Mohammad Abdul Aziz belonged to the progeny of Sultan Bahoo and his family lineage reaches Sultan Bahoo in eight steps. Sultan Mohammad Abdul Aziz held the position of 29th Shaikh of Sarwari Qadri order. He was also the spiritual guide of Sultan Mohammad Asghar Ali. The purpose of life of Sultan ul Faqr 6th was to invite people towards the true spirit of Islam i.e. Faqr Sultan Mohammad Asghar Ali got his early education from Garh Maharaja and then passed his matriculation from Naushehra District Khushab.
