Shahbaz-e-Arifan Pir Bahadur Ali Shah
Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh

Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Pir Syed Mohammad Bahadur Ali Shah Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh was born on 16th August 1801 A.D (5th of Rabi-us-Sani in 1216 H) in Hissowali in the outskirts of Shorkot, District Jhung Pakistan (then India). His ancestors migrated from Mashhad (Iran). His genealogy reaches Hazrat Ali Karum Allah Wajhul Kareem through Hazrat Syed Imam Musa Kazim Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh of Mashhad Iran that is why Kazmi and Al- Mushhadi are parts of his name.
Faqr was in his soul since eternity that is why he had great inclination towards divine love and Gnosis since childhood. His father often used to take him to the sacred shrine of Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh who specially blessed this pure soul with divine enlightenment. When Syed Bahadur Ali Shah Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh was eight years old his father decided to take him to Maulana Syed Obaidullah Shah, a highly learned scholar in Multan. On the way they stayed at the shrine of Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo for seven days. After seven days Syed Bahadur Ali Shah's father left him at the mudrasah of Syed Obaidullah. But when Syed Obaidullah started teaching him, he was highly amazed as Syed Bahadur Ali Shah already knew whatever Syed Obaidullah wanted to teach him. He had complete command over all the branches of religious knowledge, even he had also learned the Holy Quran by heart. Syed Obaidullah Shah called Syed Bahadur Ali Shah's father and told him the whole situation. When his father asked Syed Bahadur Ali Shah that from where and when he gained all that knowledge, Syed Bahadur Ali Shah replied that Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh spiritually blessed him with all the religious knowledge while his seven day stay at the shrine. Syed Bahadur Ali Shah's father took him back to Sakhi Sultan Bahoo's shrine and left him there. He stayed at the shrine of Sakhi Sultan Bahoo for 40 years. During these 40 years Syed Bahadur Ali Shah performed many services at the shrine. His greatest service is collecting, compiling and writing Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo's books. After 40 years, in 1849, he was esoterically ordered by Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh to go back home and come to shrine every month.

Then in 1861 Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh ordered him to go to Shorkot and swear allegiance upon the hands of Pir Mohammad Abdul Ghafoor Shah Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh. He obeyed the orders and went to Shorkot. After swearing allegiance Syed Bahadur Ali Shah made it a routine to spend the day in the service of his mentor (murshid) and the night at the shrine of Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo. The bounties of both Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh and Pir Mohammad Abdul Ghafoor Shah Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh elevated Syed Bahadur Ali Shah to the extreme heights of Faqr.

Pir Abdul Ghafoor Shah passed on the treasure of Faqr to Syed Bahadur Ali Shah before death and he was given complete authority over the treasure of Faqr by Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh. Now although every seeker of Faqr will get this treasure by the permission of Holy Prophet Mohammad Sall'Allahu Alayhi Wa'alihi wasallam but through the meditation of Pir Syed Bahadur Ali Shah Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh. Pir Syed Bahadur Ali Shah also made a great revolution in the way of Faqr i.e. he made the real Ism-e-Allah Zaat with gold for the first time and gave them to the seekers for Zikr and Tasawur.

Pir Syed Bahadur Ali Shah Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh has left a treasure of mystic poetry which is filled with divine realities and true love for Allah and His beloved souls. When Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh handed him over the treasure of Faqr he informed him that "a circumcised baby boy with cut naval will born in my family, you will have to transfer this treasure to him". So he entrusted the heritage of Faqr to Sultan Mohammad Abdul Aziz Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh who was born with exactly the same signs in the family of Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo. Thus Faqr returned back to the family of Sakhi Sultan Bahoo Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh once again.
Syed Bahadur Ali Shah Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh died on 27th Feb 1934 (14 Ziqa'ad 1352 H). His Shrine is near Shorkot (Pakistan), 2 kilometers away from Adda Qasim Abad Jhung Shorkot Road. His urs is held on 25th, 26th and 27th February. He was entitled "Shahbaz-e-Arifan" by Ghaus-ul-Azam Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jillani Razi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu.
