Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Pir Mohammad Abdul Ghafoor Shah
( Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh )

Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Pir Mohammad Abdul Ghafoor Shah Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh was born on 14th of Zilhaj in 1242 H (9th July 1827 A.D) in Dera Ghazi Khan, Pakistan (then India). His ancestral link goes back in 26 steps to Holy Prophet Sall'Allahu Alayhi Wa'alihi Wasallam's uncle Syed-us-Shohada Hazrat Amir Hamza Razi Allah Anha. Since childhood Mohammad Abdul Ghafoor Shah Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh was completely inclined towards religion. Till the age of 18 years he had acquired almost all the religious education, fiqah and shariah. But his soul was restless and his urge to find the divine reality was increasing. At the age of 25 he was ordered by the Holy Prophet Sall'Allahu Alayhi Wa'alihi Wasallam, Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh and Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jillani Razi Allahu Ta'ala Anhu in dream, to go to Ahmad Pur Sharqiah of Bahawalpur state to Syed Mohammad Abdullah Shah Madni Jillani Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh, who would spiritually guide him to the divine reality and bless him with the treasure of Faqr.
Pir Mohammad Abdul Ghafoor Shah reached Ahmad Pur Sharqiah in 1851, took oath of allegiance upon the hands of Syed Abdullah Shah, and started serving him wholeheartedly. He remained in his service for almost 9 years. Under the spiritual guidance of Syed Abdullah Shah he reached the extremities of Faqr. Before his death in 1860, Syed Abdullah Shah passed on the sacred heritage of Faqr to Pir Mohammad Abdul Ghafoor Shah at the shrine of Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Bahoo Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh.
After the death of his beloved mentor (murshid), Pir Mohammad Abdul Ghafoor Shah Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh first migrated to Shorkot in 1861 and then to Mud Rujbana (now MudSharif) Garh Maharaja District Jhung Pakistan (then India) in 1862. Here he showed the path of Gnosis (Marifat) and Glorious Vision of Allah (Deedar-e-Elahi) to thousands of seekers. He remained stationed in Mud Rujbana for 50 years and blessed people with the treasure of Faqr and Ism-e-Allah Zaat. After his death his son Pir Abdul Haq compiled his poetry which is full of devotion and love for his murshid Syed Abdullah Shah. This mystic poetry is a masterpiece of expressions of divine realities in words. Pir Mohammad Abdul Ghafoor Shah Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh entrusted the treasure of Faqr to Pir Syed Mohammad Bahadur Ali Shah, who swore allegiance upon his hands in 1861 and remained in his sacred service for about 49 years.
